Beating the Winter Blues: Understanding Seasonal Affective Disorder

About this event

Feeling more tired, withdrawn, or unmotivated as the days get shorter? You’re not alone. Many people experience mood changes during the colder, darker months — sometimes known as the “winter blues.” For some, these feelings may indicate Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), a form of depression that follows a seasonal pattern.

Join Soul-Mind Connection Counseling for a supportive and interactive virtual workshop designed to help you better understand and manage the emotional impact of the winter season.

💬 What to Expect:

  • Learn about the signs, causes, and science behind Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

  • Discover practical tools and coping strategies to boost your energy and mood

  • Experience guided mindfulness and expressive therapy activities

  • Reflect on your own seasonal patterns and create a personalized self-care plan

  • Connect with others in a safe and supportive space

This event will be facilitated by graduate-level counseling interns under the supervision of licensed clinicians at Soul-Mind Connection Counseling, LLC. Our interns bring fresh perspectives, compassion, and creativity to this engaging session.

🌟 Who Should Attend:

This workshop is open to adults of all ages who want to learn about managing low mood during the winter months, developing healthier routines, and supporting emotional wellness.
